In 2006 I was introduced to the African American Quilt Circle of Durham, NC. It was a turning point in my life. Creating quilts for shows gave me the courage to make and show my work. Quilting and fiber art work make me whole. I’m always stitching.
I will always make fabric postcards. They are quick and easy. I am so gratified when I’ve completed one. The thing I like best is getting one or more in the mail. They can be mailed or framed.
When I’m not stitching I’m painting. Sometimes I paint and stitch together. I consider myself a folk art painter. I love the process more and more.
